Vees Make a Trade with Eagles

The Penticton Vees Jr. ‘A’ Hockey Club traded the playing rights of defenseman Brayden Park (96) to the Surrey Eagles for future considerations, the team announced Monday.

Park, 17, appeared in 27 games last season for the Vees picking up one assist and ten penalty minutes as a stay-at-home defenseman. Park started last season with the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League’s Osoyoos Coyotes, where he collected 10 assists in 12 games. Prior to landing in the Okanagan, the Lumsden, Saskatchewan product played for the Yorkton Harvest of the Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League where he compiled four goals and 20 points in 45 games in 2011-2012.

With today’s trade, the Vees are now down to seven defenseman, as the Vees 22-man roster is now set heading into the opening weekend of the BCHL season; the Bauer BCHL Showcase.

The Vees organization would like to thank Brayden for his contributions to the team and wish him all the best in his future hockey endeavors with the Eagles.
