Vees Breeze Past Spruce Kings

Last night the Penticton Vees beat the Prince George Spruce Kings 6-3 at the South Okanagan Events Centre.  After the first period was tied at 1-1, Curtis McKenzie netting the Vees first goal of the night, unassisted The Vees scored three unanswered goals in the second period, resulting in a 4-1 lead after two periods of play.  Scoring for the Vees was Garrett Milan assisted by Max Grassi and Colton Jobke, Joey Holka assisted by Erik Slemp and Logan Johnston, followed by a power play goal by Kaare Odegard with assists from Ryan Viselli and Max Grassi. .  The Vees continued their scoring in the third period with two goals within five minutes of each other, followed by two Spruce Kings goals late in the game.  The Vees outshot the Spruce Kings 43-22 .  Garrett Milan earned the first star with two goals and an assist, Max Grassi was awarded the second star with three assists, and the third star went to Kaare Odegard with the game winning goal.

 

The Penticton Vees are on the road this weekend playing Friday and Saturday night in Salmon Arm.
