PENTICTONITESCHALLENGED TO SHOW UP FOR LOCAL CHARITIES

 

PENTICTON, BC ? With$33,000 pledged to over a dozen local charities by community-minded groups,individuals, and businesses – the second annual Christmas Charity Challenge nowjust needs fans to show up in big numbers on Friday night.

 

Should 4,000 fans show up for a battle of the top two teamsin the BCHL?s Interior Conference, the game will be one of the biggestcharitable events of the year in Penticton.

 

While the Vees and Silverbacks are engaging in a crucialhome-and-home battle with first place on the line this weekend, charities areencouraging locals to attend the game for the event?s huge contributions to somany valuable causes in our community.

 

Fans are reminded that tickets are ?two-for-one? with adonation of a non-perishable food item to the Salvation Army at the SouthOkanagan Events Centre box office. Special rates are available for groups ofover ten people, and concession items will be specially priced for the night.
