Vees trade Jack Bakker to Sherwood Park

PENTICTON BC. – The Penticton Vees Hockey Club has traded forward Jack Bakker (’07) to the Sherwood Park Crusaders, in exchange for future considerations the team announced Friday morning.

“This move will give Jack a fresh start and a better opportunity to play,” began Vees President, General Manager, and Head Coach Fred Harbinson. “This move finalizes our roster prior to the deadline tomorrow. We are proud that we have had the least amount of trades in the BCHL in each of the las three seasons and look forward to a strong finish from this group.”

Bakker, 16, appeared in 20 games for the Vees this season and registered six penalty minutes. Prior to joining Penticton, Bakker played the 2022-23 season at the Delta Hockey Academy. He also played for Team BC at the 2023 Canada Winter Games.

After today’s trade, the Vees roster sits at 25 players: three goaltenders, eight defenceman, and 14 forwards.

The Vees organization would like to thank Jack for his contributions to the team and wish him all the best in his future with the Crusaders.
