The Vees played to win last night and blew past the Smoke Eaters in an 8-2 victory. Garrett Milan opened the scoring for the Vees with a goal at the two minute mark of the first period, followed with his second goal only 14 minutes later. Garret had a hat trick which earned him the first star of the game. The Vees and the Smoke Eaters each scored a power play goal. New comer Kaare Odegard debuted with two assists. The Vees outshot the Smoke Eaters 37-33 shots.
The Vees resume home ice action tonight when they host the Vernon Vipers. Game time is 7:05pm, tickets are available at the South Okanagan Events Centre Box Office.
