Vees Reveal New Brand Logo

PENTICTON, B.C. – The Penticton Vees, proud members of the BC Hockey League (BCHL), are excited to reveal a new brand logo as well as an updated colour scheme ahead of the 2022-23 season.

“We are excited about moving forward with a new look. Change from what you are used to is never easy, but we feel this logo will create a fresh and exciting look for our players and fans,” said Penticton Vees’ President, General Manager & Head Coach Fred Harbinson.

The Vees’ new primary logo features a redesigned maple leaf that reflects the rich hockey history in Penticton. The ‘V’ is once again predominantly showcased in the new logo and the “Vees” wordmark has been refreshed as well. The new primary logo features the maple leaf in both blue and white versions.

The Vees have also updated their colour palette, which most noticeably features a deeper, more vivid shade of blue. The team has also added a secondary Vees script wordmark that will be featured throughout the upcoming 2022-23 season.

I wanted to create a logo that was a blend of 1950’s era hockey and the most recent Vees’ logo,” said graphic designer Luke Fraser. “My main goal was to go back in time and give the Vees a timeless and classic look.”

This is the team’s first major logo change in 18 years. The Vees previously changed their logo in 2004 when the team was renamed from the Penticton Panthers. The Vees are also set to unveil new jerseys in September ahead of their season opener on September 23rd, against the Trail Smoke Eaters.

Season tickets are on sale for the 2022-23 season with rates as low as just $10 per game! Contact Director of Ticketing and Merchandise, Amanda Lysohirka, at amanda@pentictonvees.com for more information.
