Vees fall for second straight night

Spencer Bennett scored twice and the Surrey Eeagles jumped to an early 2-0 lead and hung on to defeat the Vees 3-2 in BCHL action Thursday in Surrey. Tyler Morley also scored and Brennan Strang and Mike Krgoich each had two assists . Ryan Johansen scored his first BCHL goal and Travis Oullettte replied for the Vees , who lost their third straight game and slipped to 10-6-0-2 on the season .

Bennett's first goal came at the 6:14 mark w/ assists from Krgovich and Strang . Morley upped the count to 2-0 on an unassisted power play goal at 9:49 . The Vees got back into the game at 1:51 of the second period as Johansen redirected Matt Paltridge's point shot home to make it 2-1 .

Bennett restored the two goal Surrey lead w/ Krgovich and Strang helping at 15:49.Oullette gave the Vees a chance when he scored on an innocent shot through traffic w/ 6:32 to play . Viselli and Percdicaro earned the assists .Penticton pulled White in favor of an extra attacker but didn't generate any quality chances to tie the game . The Vees get a much needed day off today and close out the road trip against Burnaby on Saturday and Langley on Sunday .
