Vees Crush Centennials

Last night the Penticton Vees crushed the Merritt Centennials in an 8-2 victory.  Travis Ouellette from Ryan Viselli and Garrett Milan scored the first goal of the night a little more than six minutes into the first period on a power play.  Two minutes later the Merritt tied up the game.  Penticton got the lead back with two more goals in the first period.  The Vees second goal of the night was scored by Adam Zamec from Denver Manderson and Brad Reid.  Zack Josepher scored the Vees third and final goal of the first period with less than three minutes left with an assist from Denver Manderson.

 

Ryan Viselli came on strong in the second period with the only two goals that were score that period.  12 minutes into the second period Ryan Viselli scored with help from Zack Joeshper and Matt Paltridge, Viselli?s second goal of the period was scored less than five minutes later with assist from Garrett Milan and Zack Josepher.

 

Merritt started the third period scoring with their second and last goal of the game.  Curtis McKenzie on a power play 7:35 into the third with assist form Devon Krogh and Zack Josepher.  Denver Manderson scored the Vees seventh goal of the game with help from Curtis McKenzie and Brodie Reid.  Brad Reid scored the Vees last goal of the game with less than eight minutes left in the third period with help form Mitch Labreche and Colton Jobke.

 

The Penticton Vees out shot the Merritt Centennials 50-22.  Ryan Viselli was named the first star of the night with two goals and one assist.  Second Star went to Zack Josepher who racked up one goal and three assists.  Third Star was Brad Reid with one goal and one assist.

 

The Vees resume hockey action tonight when they face off against the Vernon Vipers.  Game time is 7:05pm at the SOEC.
