Preview: Vees begin home-and-home against Wenatchee on the road

Penticton, BC: The final weekend of the pre-season portion of the BCHL schedule begins tonight, and the Penticton Vees will head south of the border to take on the defending Fred Page Cup champion Wenatchee Wild at 7:00. The two teams then return to Penticton for a 6:00 game tomorrow.

The Vees are 2-0 in pre-season action so far after 3-1 and 6-3 wins over the West Kelowna Warriors. August 29 the Vees received goals from David Silye, Lukas Sillinger, Jackson Niedermayer, Jack Lagerstrom, Luke Loheit and Ryan Miotto along with 20 saves from Jack LaFontaine on home ice.

Penticton held a 2-3-1 record against the Wild last season with both wins coming on home ice.

Derek Krall will start in net tonight for the Vees.

There will be no broadcast of tonight’s contest, but regular updates will be posted to the Vees social media channels.
