NEWS: Vees Ranked #1 In CJHL Top 20 Rankings For Third Consecutive Week

PENTICTON, B.C. – The Penticton Vees Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is ranked #1 in the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s (CJHL) Top 20 Rankings for the third week in a row.

The rankings are a weekly installment and are compiled by an independent scouting source. The Vees are ranked in the top spot after a perfect 10-0 start to their regular season after earning two victories at the BCHL Showcase Festival, presented by Bauer, at the South Okanagan Events Centre on Friday and Saturday.

Penticton earned a 1-0 victory over the Vernon Vipers on Friday night at the SOEC as Cade Webber tallied the only goal in a tight-checking hockey game. Yaniv Perets stood tall for his 3rd consecutive shutout, amassing 15 saves in his 5th victory of the season. Saturday night saw the Vees dispatch the Wenatchee Wild by a 5-3 score with Colton Kalezic and Jay O’Brien each earning four points in the Vees 10th consecutive victory.
