Joel Rumpel a Badger!

The Penticton Vees are proud to announce their 16th NCAA commitment on the season. Goaltender Joel Rumpel has committed to the University of Wisconsin for the 2011/12 season.

The University of Wisconsin plays in the WCHA conference. Joel is excited about returning to Penticton next season, and then moving on to be a Badger the following year. “Coach Harbinson was a big help for me, he guided me through the process and was always available to answer the questions I had.” Said Rumpel upon return from his visit to Madison, WI. where he watched the Badgers face off against Michigan in the Camp Randall Hockey Classic outdoor game. The outdoor game was held in the University of Wisconsin football stadium, and hosted 55031 loud fans.

Joel is in his first season with the Penticton Vees, in his 21 starts Joel has 18 Wins, 2 of which are shutouts, and has posted a 92.41 Save Percentage and a 1.86 Goals Against Average. The Vees congratulate Joel on his commitment.”
