Vees Host Warriors in Home Exhibition Opener

The Vees and Warriors put the finishing touches on their exhibition home-and-home series at the SOEC tonight. It's the Vees first of three home exhibition dates and the last meeting with the Tribe until October 18th.

Last night at Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna, the Vees fought back twice late in the third to earn a 3-3 tie. The Vees came back from two goals down in the final five minutes and again inside the final sixty-seconds to earn the split. Liam Finlay (OK Rockets), Max Coatta and Cam Amantea scored for the Vees and Hunter Miska and Brendan Barry (OK Rockets) split the duties in goal.

Both teams iced youthful line-ups last night but both teams will have more veterans on their roster for tonight's rematch. The Vees will have a noticeable veteran presence as a host of recruits from this past off-season make their debut. The Warriors will have plenty of familar faces in the line-up, including Seb Lloyd, David Pope and Ambrose Firkus.
