Vees host Warriors for lone home pre-season tilt

Penticton, BC: After opening their pre-season schedule with a 6-3 win at Royal Lepage Place in West Kelowna August 23, the Penticton Vees will host the rematch against the Warriors tonight at the South Okanagan Events Centre at 7:00 p.m. It is the only home game on the exhibition schedule for the Vees who will play two more games in Brooks, Alberta, against the Bandits this weekend.

In last week’s win the Vees were lead by a hat trick from forward Cassidy Bowes, who was one of only a handful of Vees regulars in the lineup. The Anaheim Jr. Ducks team was in Penticton for the week, and made up the majority of the roster for last week’s affair. Shane Allan, Dylan Gutierrez and Matthew Byrne also tallied for the Vees, while Nolan Hildebrand played the full game in net.

With the Ducks having returned to California, Wednesday’s roster promises to feature more players Vees fans will see skating with the team throughout the course of the season.

Admission to Wednesday’s game is just $5 for the general public and free for season ticket members, who can pick up their tickets at the box office.

Remember to order your rival packs! Five games against the Vees biggest rivals, including the home opener September 29 against West Kelowna and the rematch of last year’s Fred Page Cup final against the Chilliwack Chiefs. Call Laura Carleton at the Vees office at 250-493-8337 ext 4.
