Vees announce commitment of defenceman Nate McIsaac

PENTICTON, B.C. – The Penticton Vees are pleased to announce defenceman Nate McIsaac (’04) has committed to the team for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

The product of Kelowna, B.C., spent the past two seasons playing for the Summerland Steam in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League. McIsaac was  coached by the Vees’ new Assistant Coach Mark MacMillan. In the 2022-23 season, McIsaac had nine points (4G, 5A) in 44 regular season games. In two seasons with the Steam, the 6’2, 200-pound defenceman tallied 20 points (9G, 11A) in 83 career regular season games.

The left-shot defenceman was also captain of Team B.C. at the 2022 Under-18 National Aboriginal Hockey Championship in Nova Scotia. McIsaac led Team B.C. to a third-place finish.

Prior to playing in Summerland, McIsaac spent three seasons at the Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy.
