Penticton, BC: The 2018-19 BCHL season officially opened with training camp on Monday, and now the Vees will hit the ice against another team for the first time as they travel up to West Kelowna for a pre-season match up against the Warriors at 7:00.
The game is the first of four exhibition games for Penticton as they host West Kelowna next Wednesday before a home-and-home against the Wenatchee Wild beginning Friday night on the road.
Fans will be able to see players in action before next week however, as the annual Peaches Cup instrasquad game takes place Friday at 5:00 at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
Wednesday’s game is the first of eight against West Kelowna including regular season, though the Vees lineup will be heavily filled with players from the Anaheim Jr. Ducks team who are in Penticton for the week.
There will be no broadcast of the game though regular updates will be posted on the Vees Twitter account.
