NHL.com Mock Draft: Fabbro, Jost Projected Top 20 Picks

NHL.com writer Mike G. Morreale published his final mock draft rankings this morning for the top 30 picks for the 2016 Draft, which is set for Friday in Buffalo, New York, and both Dante Fabbro and Tyson Jost are pegged to go inside the top 20.

Morreale has Jost ranked 11th which is where the New Jersey Devils are positioned and Fabbro is slated to go 17th overall to the Nashville Predators. Coincidentally Fabbro has said that one of his favourite defencemen is Predators’ Captain Shea Weber.

Here’s what Morreale had to say about Jost:

“Jost was named the 2016 RBC Canadian Junior Hockey League National Player of the Year after he was fifth in the British Columbia Hockey League with 42 goals and third with 104 points in 48 games. Jost (5-11, 190) has been compared to former Devils/current Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise. He is committed to the University of North Dakota, where Parise played two seasons, in 2016-17.”

And about Fabbro:

“Fabbro (6-0, 192) was named the top defenseman in the BCHL after he led the league’s defenders with 67 points and was second with 14 goals. He’s committed to Boston University in 2016-17.”
