PENTICTON, BC. – The Penticton Vees Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club announced Friday the team has traded forward Drew Elser (’00) to the Trail Smoke Eaters in exchange for future considerations.

Elser, 20, returned to the Vees at the January 10th Trade Deadline a season ago after overcoming significant injuries to return to play hockey. The Hopewell Junction, New York native finished up the 2019/20 regular season with a pair of goals in 12 games played before adding an assist in five playoff games.

A commit of the University of Connecticut, Elser played with the Central Illinois Flying Aces before coming to Penticton at the beginning of the 2018/19 season. Elser scored 8 goals and added 8 assists for 16 points in 36 games in Central Illinois during the 2017/18 campaign.

The Vees would like to welcome thank Drew for his contributions to the organization and City of Penticton over the past three seasons and wish him the best of luck in Trail.
