Nanne BCHL Player of the Week

PENTICTON, BC–The British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) announced Monday that Penticton Vees forward Louie Nanne is the Gongshow Player of the Week, for the week ending March 31st.

Nanne had three points in the Vees two wins over the West Kelowna Warriors in games one and two of the Interior Conference Final this past weekend. In game one, Nanne notched a goal and an assist and was named second star in the Vees 6-4 come-from-behind victory. One night later, the Edina, Minnesota product scored the eventual game-winner, in the Vees 5-1 victory; Nanne again was named second star.

Nanne added to his total in Monday’s game three win in West Kelowna, picking up a pair of goals in the Vees 5-4 double overtime triumph. The Minnesota Wild draft pick leads all Vees in playoff scoring with five goals and 11 points in seven games, which is fifth best in the BCHL playoff scoring race. The future Minnesota Gold Gopher had 19 goals and 41 points in 45 regular season games.

The Vees look to wrap-up their best-of-seven Interior Conference Final series versus the Warriors tonight at Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna. The Vees currently lead the series 3-0; puck drop is 7pm. The game can be heard on EZ Rock AM 800, www.penticton.myezrock.com, or you can watch online at www.fasthockey.com
