Andrew Ness suffered his first loss of the postseason, as he surrendered three goals on 21 shots.

The Vees continue the goaltending rotation into Game Five, as Will Ingemann gets the start tonight. He’s 4-0 in the BCHL Playoffs with a 1.11 goals-against average (GAA) and .944 save percentage. In this series, Ingemann is 2-0 with a 1.48 GAA and .921 SV%.

Scoring Leader: Isaac Tremblay (3-8-11)

Vernon extended the series to Game Five with their come from behind win on Wednesday. Captain Connor Elliott scored the winner five minutes into the extra frame.

Isaac Tremblay and Erik Pastro scored in regulation for the Vipers, who came back from a 2-0 first period deficit. Tremblay scored late in the second period and Pastro tied it with under five minutes left in the third.

Vernon’s penalty kill was excellent Wednesday, as they killed off four Vees’ power plays, including two in the third period at critical times. Penticton had a power play midway through the third up 2-1 and then a power play with two minutes left in regulation when the game was tied 2-2. Two massive kills for Vernon.

The Vipers were missing top-six forward Luke Pakulak in Game Four and his status for Game Five is not yet known. Pakulak is a big presence, a 6’5, 215-pound forward.

Goaltender Ethan David has been busy in this series, having faced 144 shots in four games, an average of 36 shots per game. David was a large reason why this series was extended to a fifth game, as he kept the Vees from scoring that third goal in Game Four. In Four games David has .910 SV%.
