The Vees will see a majority of players from the Anaheim Jr. Ducks program suit up for the game as the team is in Penticton for Main Camp. 9 of the 18 players getting into tonight’s preseason opener are currently with the Ducks program, whether at a U-16 or U-18 level.

Penticton will have one player who has committed to the team for the 2019/20 season in the form of defenseman Scott Gilowski. The 6’6″, 212-pound rearguard got into three games with the Vees last season while playing for the Okanagan Rockets of the BC Major Midget League.

Manning the crease for tonight’s game will be the duo of 15-year-old Marek Pocherewny and 17-year-old Cameron Milewski. Pocherewny, a Calgary, Alberta native, will play the first half of the game coming off of his first season with the Calgary Buffaloes Hockey Association Minor Midget squad while Milewski will step in the blue paint after being apart of the Ducks U18 AA Midget program last season.

The Vees and Warriors will drop the puck at 7:00 PM at Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna and follow along with the Vees Twitter (@PentictonVees) for game updates. The Vees are back in action on Friday night as they come to the South Okanagan Events Centre for their first home preseason game, hosting the Merritt Centennials for a 7:00 PM face-off.

Season tickets are on sale now and the regular season just two weeks away with Penticton travelling to Trail to take on the Smoke Eaters on Friday, September 6th. The Vees home opener is slated for Friday, September 27th against the West Kelowna Warriors.
