Penticton jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first six minutes of the game, with goals from Ryan Hopkins and Nic DeGraves. Thomas Pichette scored in the second and Gabriel Guilbault and Brett Moravec finished off the scoring in the third. Luca Di Pasquo stopped 14 of 16 shots as he picked up his 26.

Tonight’s Game: Tonight, is seventh and final meeting in the season series with the West Kelowna Warriors. The Vees have won all six games this season against the Warriors. Penticton has outscored West Kelowna 43-11. The Vees scored a 9-2 victory back on December 30 in their last encounter with the Warriors. Penticton has averaged seven and a half goals at home against West Kelowna in the season series.

Josh Nadeau leads the Vees with 20 points (9G, 11A) in six games against the Warriors. Brother Bradly is right behind him with 19 points (6G, 13A). Luca Di Pasquo has won all six starts against West Kelowna, posting a 1.83 goals-against average and .921 save percentage.

Last Game: West Kelowna lost their third-straight last Saturday, 4-3 to the Vernon Vipers at Kal Tire Place. Vernon won on a buzzer beater, literally, as Vipers’ captain Seiya Tanaka-Campbell scored the game-winner with just one second left in regulation. The Warriors came back from two, two-goal deficits in that loss. They were down 2-0 after the first period and 3-1 in the second, before tying the game in the third. It was all for not, with the last-minute heroics by Vernon’s Tanaka-Campbell.

Tonight’s Game: West Kelowna is playing their fourth-straight road game and sixth in their last seven games. It’s been a road heavy schedule for the Warriors in last month, only playing twice at home since January 14. After tonight, West Kelowna plays 10 of their final 12 games at home.

The Warriors are banged up, as their blueline has been missing Matthew Fusco and Dylan Brooks. Fusco has missed the last eight games and Brooks hasn’t dressed in the last six. 20-year-old defenceman Nolan Hayes went down with a season-ending injury in January as well. Forward Felix Caron is on injured reserve after not playing since January 27.

Entering Friday’s action, West Kelowna sit third in the Interior, tied on points with the Prince George Spruce Kings. Salmon Arm is just a point back sitting in fifth.
