The Penticton Vees (15-6-0-2) welcome back the Trail Smoke Eaters (11-13-0-1) to the South Okanagan Events Centre tonight. On Saturday the Smoke Eaters downed the Vees 5-2 at Cominco Arena; scoring four goals in the first twenty-three minutes of the game.

This is Trail's second trip to the SOEC, as they were 7-2 losers back on October 6th. Louie Nanne stoll the show with a hat-trick and four points in the win.

Trail is looking for their first win at the SOEC since February 6th, 2011; a 6-0 blanking of the Vees. The Smoke Eaters lost all four games they played at the SOEC last season, outscored 32-6 in the process.

The Vees come in limping having lost five of their last seven games and will only have 10 regulars up front tonight. Dexter Dancs was a late scratch as he is sick and Mike Rebry is still a few weeks away from returning from a back injury. The Vees have called up 16 year-old Graham Millar from the Okanagan Rockets as he will be the 11th forward tonight.

Trail is a team to look out for, winners of their last two and with a win tonight would move within one point of second in the Interior Division.

Trail will have recently acqured Bennett Hambrook in the line-up tonight. The former Silverbacks captain will play his first game after a trade yesterday between Salmon Arm and Trail.

After tonight the two teams don't meet again until February 23rd when the Vees are back in Trail.
