First Round Playoff Preview

The Penticton Vees and the West Kelowna Warriors will face-off in one of two BCHL Interior Division Semi-Final best-of-seven series, starting Tuesday, March 2nd at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC).

The Vees finished first in the Interior and the BCHL with a 44-9-3-2 record, ending the 2014-2015 regular season with six straight wins. The Vees captured the Ron Boileau trophy for the second time in four years, by finishing first in the BCHL with 93 points. The West Kelowna Warriors grabbed the fourth and final playoff spot in the final week of the season, by finishing with 29 wins and 66 points; they won five straight to end the regular season.

This is the second time in three years the Vees and Warriors have met in the post-season. They last squared-off in the Interior Division Final in 2013, with the Vees winning that series in five games.

The Vees had a decided edge in the seven-game seasonal series with West Kelowna, winning five of the seven games between the two rivals. The Warriors only two wins against the Vees came at the SOEC. The Vees won all three games at Royal LePage Place, outscoring the Tribe 19-6.
