Fabbro & Jost Invited to U-17 Camp

The Penticton Vees Jr. ‘A’ Hockey Club is pleased to announce newly committed players Tyson Jost and Dante Fabbro have been invited to participate in Hockey Canada’s U17 development camp.

Jost, 16, just completed a record setting season in the BCMML, producing 44 goals and 88 points in just 36 regular season games. He followed that up with 9 goals and 18 points in 7 BCMML playoff games, and led the team to a Telus Cup National Championship Bronze medal.

Fabbro, still just 15, was the BCMML’s top scoring defenseman, racking up 22 goals and 61 points in 38 regular season games. He then added another 2 goals and 10 points in 6 playoff games, before bowing out to Jost’s Okanagan Rockets in the BCMML finals. To benchmark Fabbro’s strong season, Vees’ former standout & present Denver Pioneer leader, Joey Laleggia, scored 15 goals and 54 points in 40 regular season games during his second season in the BCMML.

“We regard Tyson and Dante as being the two best 1998-born players in Western Canada”, stated Vees’ Head Coach & GM, Fred Harbinson. “We are happy that the boys secured a try-out and wish them all the best in locking down a roster spot on one of the three teams that will represent Canada at the international tournament that runs from October 31st to November 5, 2014.”
