The Penticton Vees are pleased to announce Rookie forward Beau Bennett has been invited to the NHLs Scouting Combine in Toronto at the end of May. Beau has garnered all sorts of attention from NHL scouts this season and has been project as a top two round player in the Draft.The Scouting Combine collects the top 100 draft eligible players and provides NHL teams opportunity to interview and test prospects in an off-ice setting. The 2010 NHL Entry Draft runs at the end of June in Los Angeles.Beau – a greater Los Angeles product – won the BCHL scoring title this season with 120 points in 56 games as a rookie and is the lone BCHL player invited to the Combine. Vees grad Ryan Johansen also received an invite to the Scouting Combine no other BCHL team will be represented at the event.
