Beauvais Finalist for CJHL Award

The Penticton Vees Jr. ‘A’ Hockey Club is pleased to announce graduating defenseman Brett Beauvais (94) has been named one of five finalists for the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s  (CJHL) Top Defensemen Award.
 
Beauvais, 19, was the fourth straight Vees rear-guard to win the BCHL Top Defenseman award this past season, as he led all blue-liners in the league with 58 points and 45 assists, which was fifth-best in the BCHL. The Summerside, P.E.I product was second in the BCHL in power-play assists with 25 and his 33 power-play points ranked third in the BCHL. Beauvais had 15 multi-point games this past season and had a five-game goal streak from November 29th, to December 7th, and had 19 points in 11 games in November. Beauvais was named to the BCHL’s First All-Star team, and was also named the Vees Grant King Men’s Wear Player of the Month in October.
 
Beauvais is set to join the Bemidji State University Beavers this fall, as he embarks on his NCAA career. The CJHL will announce the Top Defensemen Award winner during the week of May 5th-9th.
