Alum Bryce Gervais Inks Deal with Chicago Wolves

Monday, the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL) announced they signed Vees’ alum Bryce Gervais to a 2-year standard player contract. Gervais joined the Wolves last spring on amateur tryout contract and tallied four goals and six points in 10 games; he also had +3 plus/minus rating.

Gervais joined the Wolves after his senior season at Minnesota State University, where he amassed 67 goals (second most in school history) and 101 points in 163 career games with the Mavericks.

Prior to college, Gervais won the 2012 RBC Cup national junior ‘A’ championship with the Vees. Gervais came to Penticton via a trade in the 2011-12 season and in 39 games he had 26 goals and 48 points. He had another six goals and 11 points in 15 BCHL playoff games.

Gervais is the seventh player from the 2012 national championship squad to sign an NHL or AHL contract. He joins Mario Lucia, Steven Fogarty, Joey Benik, Troy Stecher, Mike Garteig and Mike Reilly in the pro ranks.
