Vipers knock out Vees

The Vernon Vipers broke open a scoreless game on Friday night with three straight second period goals and romped to a 7-1 win over the Vees in Vernon.

The Vipers won the Interior Conference semifinal round 4-1 after losing in overtime in the first game of the series and losing to the Vees in the same round last season.

The line of Jones , Jones and Gill combined for 9 points while Kane had two goals helped by Ikkala and Short with singles .Max Grassi scored the only goal for the Vees who had the better chances in the early going. The Vipers now take on Salmon Arm in the Interior Division Finals which will open in Vernon on Friday
