Vees win 5-4 in first exhibition game

The Penticton Vees traveled to the Nicola Valley Arena last night to play the Merritt Centennials in their first exhibition game of the season.  The Vees took an early lead in the first period with a 1-0 lead, the first intermission ended with a 1-1 tie.  The Vees went into the third period down 4-2.  Mitch Labreche scored the tying goal in the third period with less than a minute of play.  In net for the Penticton Vees was goaltender Andrew Walton.  Curtis McKenzie scored the game winning goal with less than a minute left in the first overtime period.  David Andreassen finished the game with two goals while Mitch Labreche had one goal and one assist.  The Penticton Vees are back in action this evening at the Penticton Memorial Arena at 7:05pm tonight!
