Last night the Penticton Vees hosted the Trail Smoke Eaters at the SOEC. After a scoreless first period the Vees picked it up scoring their first goal 24 seconds into the second period. Denver Manderson scored the goal with help from Nathan Westover and Curtis McKenzie. Ryan Viselli scored the next two Vees goals four minutes apart. His first goal of the game came with help from Ryan Johansen and Logan Johnston. Ryan Viselli?s second goal of the game came with help from Nathan Westover. In the third period Curtis McKenzie scored a short handed goal for the Vees with help from Denver Manderson. The Vees last goal of the game was scored Brent Vandenberg from Garrett Milan and Denver Manderson on a Vees power play. The Penticton Vees out shot the Trail Smoke Eaters 40-22. The Vees earned all three stars last night. Ryan Viselli was the first star, Anthony Borelli?s shut out earned him the second star while Nathan Westover?s two assists earned him the third star. The Vees are back in action at the SOEC Thursday October 23rd when your Vees host the Victoria Grizzlies. Game time is 7:05pm. Tickets are available at the SOEC Box Office.
