Vees @ Vernon recap

The Penticton Vees bought themselves some breathing room atop the Interior Conference standings on Saturday with a 2-0 win over the Vernon Vipers in Vernon.

For the Vipers it was their first loss since the month of April as the club finished the 2009 post-season with eleven straight wins, added four more in the preseason, and were undefeated in seven regular season contests. The defending national champions were shutout by Sean Bonar who turned aside all 35 shots he faced.
