PENTICTON, B.C. – The Penticton Vees Junior Hockey is pleased to announce the signing of forward Luke Posthumus (’05) for the 2024-25 season, the team announced Friday.

Posthumus spent the 2023-24 season with the Tri-City Storm in the United States Hockey League (USHL). He is committed to Northeastern University.

“Luke will bring valuable experience to our forward group, as he’s entering his third season of junior hockey, having played in the USHL and Ontario. Luke has shown the ability to score at a young age and will look to add offence to our lineup,” commented Vees President, General Manager, and Head Coach Fred Harbinson.

Posthumus suited up for 38 regular season games with the Storm this past season and posted three goals and 13 points. Prior to the USHL, the 5’11, 187-pound forward played for the Nepean Raiders in the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL). The Ottawa, ON, product led the Raiders in goals (19), assists (29), and points (48) during the 2022-23 regular season. He was named the CCHL Rookie of the Year that season.

“I’m really excited for this opportunity to play for one of the top junior teams in Canada. I want to thank the coaching staff and organization for believing in me. I can’t wait to help them win another championship,” said Posthumus.

The Vees organization is excited to welcome Luke and his family to the South Okanagan for the upcoming season.
