PENTICTON, B.C. – The Penticton Vees Junior Hockey is pleased to announce the signing of forward Caton Ryan (’06) for the 2024-25 season, the team announced Saturday.

Ryan spent the 2023-24 season with the Carleton Place Canadians in the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL). He is committed to Clarkson University.

“Caton is a strong two-way centre that can contribute to all areas of the game.

It’s so valuable when you can add another player who has already seen what it takes to play and succeed at the Junior level,” remarked Vees President, General Manager, and Head Coach Fred Harbinson.

Ryan, who turns 18 later this month, led the Canadians in scoring this past season, after he posted 59 points (24G, 35A) in 55 games. He finished 10th in CCHL scoring. He added six points (2G, 4A) in five playoff games. He was named to the CCHL All-Rookie Team in the 2022-23 season after he tallied 38 points (14G, 24A) in 55 games as a 16-year-old.

“I’m honoured to commit to the Vees. Joining such a prestigious team with a winning culture supported by incredible fans is very exciting,” began Ryan.  “I want to thank the coaching staff and the rest of the organization for giving me this opportunity.  I can’t wait to get started!”

The Vees organization is excited to welcome Caton and his family to the South Okanagan for the upcoming season.
