The Vees went 4 for 6 on the power play Saturday night to take a 2 games to none lead in the Interior Conference Playoffs.Erik Slemp and Garrett Milan each had two goals with singles from Zach Josepher and Ryan Johansen. Jordan White was solid again in net with 28 saves .
Prince George opened the scoring at 18:51 of the first followed by the first of two for Slemp . The firs one at 11:50 of the first and on the power play at 14:49 of the second period. Milan picked up two before the end of the period and the Vees led 4-1 after two periods.
Josepher and Johansen then added singles in the third to seal it for the Vees . The difference in the game was the power play as the Vees capitized on their opportunities while the Spruce Kings were 0 for 7 . Action resumes in Prince George on Monday and if necessary Tuesday night.
