Penticton Valley First Vees' forward Zac Dalpe has been named this season's Interior Conference “Most Sportsmanlike Player.”  Dalpe took just seven minor penalties in 46 regular season games.  His 27 goals and 36 assists also made him a nominee for Interior Conference “Rookie of the Year.”  Meantime, Valley First Vees' netminder Alex Evin has captured the BCHL's “Top Goaltender Award,” presented annually to the starting backstop who boasts the lowest regular season goals against average.  In 43 games, Evin posted a record of 31 wins, 10 losses and one tie, along with a 2.21 GAA.  Evin and teammate Bryan Mountain have been awarded the “Wally Forslund Trophy” for allowing the fewest combined goals against of any BCHL netminding tandem, giving up only 143 in 60 regular season games.  And Fred Harbinson has been voted the Interior Conference “Coach of the Year,” leading the club to a 41-15-2-2 regular season mark in his first season behind the Penticton bench.
