Vees announce 2019-20 regular season schedule

Penticton, BC: The Penticton Vees and the British Columbia Hockey League released the 56-game regular season schedule for the 2019-20 season today. The schedule for the BCHL Showcase Festival presented by Bauer will be announced at a later date.

The Vees open their season Friday, September 7 with back to back games in Trail against the Smoke Eaters. The first game played at the South Okanagan Events Centre is Friday, September 27 against the West Kelowna Warriors.

The first Wicked Wednesday of the season will be October 23 against the Trail Smoke Eaters. The Vees have moved their start times on Wednesday home games from 7:00 to 6:30 for the 2019-20 season. There are five Wicked Wednesday’s throughout the season. Others include: November 6 against Trail, November 27 against Prince George, January 8 against Langley and February 5 against Surrey.

Penticton has one Sunday home game this season, February 9 against the West Kelowna Warriors. Puck drop will be 2:00.

The Vees will play the first six games of the season on the road, the longest stretch of consecutive road games the season.

The final game before the Christmas break will be Saturday, December 21 against the Cowichan Valley Capitals at home. The Vees return to game action January 1 for a game in Vernon against the Vipers.

Penticton will play the final nine games of their regular season schedule at the SOEC as they have no road games in the month of February.
