VEES AND CENTS TANGLE TWICE THIS WEEKEND

There may be a 46 point difference between first place Penticton and last place Merritt in the BCHL?s Interior Conference, however, that doesn?t mean the Valley First Vees are about to take their ?cellar dwelling foes? too lightly when they meet up for a home-and-home this coming weekend.

Friday night, Penticton visits the Centennials, prior to Saturday night?s encore (beginning at 7:00) at the Memorial Arena.

With the playoffs just around the corner, the Valley First Vees are peaking at exactly the right time, having won four straight, outscoring their opponents 19-3 in the process.  A couple more victories will certainly help solidify Penticton?s chances of clinching its third consecutive Interior Conference regular season title.

Incidentally, Valley First Vees? Head Coach, Fred Harbinson, will have to watch tomorrow night?s contest in Merritt from the sidelines.  He?s been suspended one game for his involvement in an altercation with Salmon Arm Head Coach, Rylan Ferster, at the conclusion of last Saturday night?s 4-1 win over the SilverBacks.  Ferster was also handed a one game penalty for his part in the dispute.

Prior to this Saturday night?s game against the Centennials, the Penticton Valley First Vees will honour former NHL?er Grant Mulvey, whose jersey image will be added to the Canadian Tire ?Honour Wall.?

Saturday night?s Game Sponsor is Pasta Factory, renowned for the Pasta Factory ?$10,000.00 Big Shot? Promotion.

Also, another lucky program holder could win a ?50-Round Season Pass,? in the Skaha Meadows ?Putt-to-Win? Promotion.

And the ECM Promotions ?Chuck-a-Puck? Jackpot continues to set record highs, now sitting at a $3,200.00 payout.
