It was Friday night at the fights as the Vees faced off against the Quesnel Millionaires and came out on top with a 5 – 1 victory . The game was marred by a second period 5 on 5 brawl which resulted in number of player ejections and league suspensions.
The rough play and fighting continued in the third period with team captain Denver Manderson sustaining a possible season ending injury. The Vees scored first on the power play at the 7:33 mark with Manderson getting the goal with helpers from Mckenzie and Jobke . The second period seen two more goals ,one each from Johansen and Milan as the Vees built their lead to 3-0.
The Vees went up by 4 at 18:22 of the third with a goal from Brodie Reid . Quesnel answered back on the power play with Riley Marsh scoring with assists from Decock and Kala. The Vees rounded our the scoring at 3:14 on the power play with Jobke scoring with assists going to Milan and Mckenzie .
The Vees will be without their head coach Saturday as well as Manderson , Ridley and Labreche with injuries and Johnson , Paltridge, Holka and Johansen with suspensions.
