Monday radio airwaves had plenty of Penticton Vees connections. TSN 1040 out of Vancouver had Tyson Jost’s mother, Laura, and his Grandfather Jim on their midday show. Also, President, General Manger and Head Coach Fred Harbinson and Tyson were on Denver sports talk station 950 AM Altitude Sports Radio.
TSN 1040 hosts Matt Sekeres and Blake Price talked to Laura and Jim about the family’s emotional reaction when Tyson was selected 10th overall by the Avalanche. They also talked about the family’s unique story on how they rallied behind Tyson’s hockey dream.
Altitude Sports Radio had both Fred and Tyson on during their show Monday, as Jost was down in Denver being introduced to local fans and media.
