Friday October 10th the Penticton Vees beat the Salmon Arm Silver backs in the second period of overtime. The final score was 4-3 OT.
The Penticton Vees opened the scoring in the second period with two goals. The first goal was scored a little after six minutes into the game by David Andreassen from Brad Reid and Ryan Johansen. The second Vees goal of the night was a power play goal shot in by Devon Krogh with help from Travis Ouellette and David Andreassen.
Salmon Arm scored their first goal in the third period followed by another Vees goal. The Penticton Vees third goal was scored by Travis Ouellette from Ryan Viselli and Curtis McKenzie. Salmon scored two more goals in the second period to tie the game 3-3.
The teams played a scoreless first period of overtime with a goal from Denver Manderson assisted by Travis Ouellette to win the game in the second overtime period. The Vees picked up two of the three stars. The First Star was Denver Mandersen, and the Third Star was Travis Ouellette.
Saturday October 11th, the Penticton Vees travelled to Salmon Arm.
The Salmon Arm Silver Backs opened the scoring in the first period with two goals. The second period followed with the Salmon Arm Silver Backs scoring their third goal of the night on a power play. The Vees scored their first goal in the second period when Curtis McKenzie scored with help from Ryan Viselli and Travis Ouellette. Brent Vandenburg scored an unassisted goal on a power play. Salmon Arm scored their fourth goal in the second period followed by their fifth and sixth goals in the third period.
The Penticton Vees travel to Trail this coming Friday to take on the Trail Smoke Eaters.
