Penticton Vees Smoke the Trial Smoke Eaters

Last night the Penticton Vees hosted the Trail Smoke Eaters and won 8-2.  In the first period the Vees Devon Krogh scored with help form Erik Slemp and Denver Manderson to give the Vees a one nothing lead in the first period.  Heading into the second period the Vees scored two goals within the first six minutes of the game.  With less than four minutes in Mitch Labreche scored with an assist from Elias Grossman.  Less than two minutes later Denver Manderson scored with help from Curtis McKenzie.  The Vees scored their fourth goal of the night almost 13 minutes into the game when Adam Zamec scored with help from Denver Manderson and Curtis McKenzie.  Trail scored their first goal of the night almost 20 seconds later.  The Vees went on to score at 17:56 when Colton Jobke scored with an assist from Mitch Labreche.  The Vees ended the second period with a penalty shot goal from Joey Holka.  The Trail Smoke Eaters scored their second and last goal of the night almost four minutes into the third period.  Curtis McKenzie scored an unassisted short handed goal almost four minutes later.  Devon Krogh finished the Vees scoring with his second goal of the night at 11:06 on a power play with help form Denver Manderson and Zack Josepher.  The Vees had 33 shots while the Smoke Eaters had 30 shots.  Denver Manderson was named the first star of the night with one goal and three assists.  Second star was Devon Krogh who scored the first and last goals of the game.  Third star was Mitch Labreche with one goal and one assist.
