Penticton Vees Slip into Fourth Place

Friday night the Penticton Vees hosted the visiting Westside Warriors.  After two power plays in the first period the game was tied at 1-1.  The Vees snuck ahead with a late goal in the second period.  Almost halfway through the third period Westside came back to tie it up.  The game was tied 2-2 heading into the first overtime period.  Curtis McKenzie scored the game winning goal with just over a minute left.

Saturday night the Vees travelled to Vernon and played the Vipers.  The game was tied at one each with Ryan Viselli scoring the Vees first goal, and the Vernon Vipers scoring on a power play.  Adam Zamec scored the Vees second goal of the night less than three minutes into the second period.  The Vipers came back with a power play goal followed by a short handed goal.  The Vipers wrapped up the game with an empty net goal with only 12 seconds left in the game.

The Penticton Vees return to the South Okanagan Events Centre Friday January 30th when they take on the visiting Quesnel Millionaires.
