Penticton Splits Weekend Road Trip

Thursday the Vees traveled to Quesnel to face off against the millionaires Friday night in the Quesnel Twin Arenas.  The Vees lost their fourth straight game in a row Friday night against the Quesnel Millionaires.  Vees Travis Ouellette scored the first goal of the game with help from Ryan Viselli and Joey Holka just over six minutes into the first period.  Quesnel tied the game 6 minutes later, then took the lead with only 7 seconds left.  The second period was scoreless, while the third period resulted in a third goal fro the Millionaires and the Vees second and last goal which was scored by Zack Joespher from Travis Ouellette. 

 

Saturday night the Vees faced the Prince George Spruce Kings and ended their four game losing streak with a 3-0 win over the Kings.  Travis Ouellette scored from Ryan Viselli and Brad Reid to make the score 1-0 heading into the second period.  The second period was scoreless, while the third resulted in two Vees goals.  The same line as the first scored again this Ryan Viselli put it in the net with help from Travis Ouellette and Brad Reid.  The Vees scored their third goal of the game with less than 30 seconds left in the third period when Brad Reid knocked one in with help from Matt Ridley and Derik Johnson.  The Vees outshot the Kings 28-21.

 

The Vees are back in action Wednesday Night when the Vees host the Merritt Centennials.  The Penticton Vees are offering 2 for 1 tickets for their games on Wednesday December 17th and Friday December 19th to those fans who bring a donation of Non Perishable food items for the Salvation Army.  As an added bonus for all those that buy the 2 for 1 tickets, they will be given a chance to win the Ultimate Vees Fan Experience.  One lucky fan will be chosen to live a day in the life of a Vees player.  This lucky fan will get to warm up with the team, attend a team practice, sit behind the bench, be given a Vees jersey and be in the Vees locker room during one intermission.  Donations can be made and tickets can be purchased at the South Okanagan Events Centre Box Office Monday December 15th to Friday December 19th.  One lucky winner will be chosen Wednesday December 31st at the New Years game.
