NEWS: Vees Trade Upson To Langley

PENTICTON, BC. – The Penticton Vees Hockey Club announced Wednesday the team has traded forward Ryan Upson (’01) to the Langley Rivermen in exchange for future considerations.

Upson, 20, completed his first season with the Vees in the Penticton Pod, helping the team earn an 18-1-0-1 record to finish atop of the BC Hockey League standings. The West Vancouver, BC product tallied 6 goals and 15 assists for 21 points during the 20-game Pod season, finishing 4th in team scoring.

The 6’0”, 175-pound forward has skated in 83 career regular season games, splitting time between the Vees, West Kelowna Warriors and playing 9 games as an affiliate player with the Vernon Vipers. Upson has registered 9 goals and 25 assists for 34 points throughout his junior hockey career.

The Vees would like to wish Ryan the best of luck in Langley and thank him for his contributions to the organization and the City of Penticton.
