NEWS: Vees Forward Josh Nadeau Named BCHL’s 2nd Star Of The Week

PENTICTON, BC. – The BC Hockey League announced Monday the 3 Stars of the Week which includes Penticton Vees forward Josh Nadeau, who was named 2nd Star of the Week.

Nadeau, 18, is in the midst of a nine-game point streak, scoring in each of those contests and has found the back of the net 10 total times while adding 6 assists for 16 points in that span. Over the course of last week’s three wins for the Vees, Nadeau posted three goals and four assists for seven points, including collecting two or more points in all three contests.

The University of Maine commit sits in a tie for 3rd in the league in goal scoring with 16 tallies while placing 4th in the BCHL with 28 points on the season, leading the Vees in that regard.

Trail’s Brady Hunter was named the 1st Star of the Week, scoring 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 points while Surrey’s Jake Bongo was named the league’s 3rd Star of the Week, collecting 3 goals and 4 assists for 7 points.

The Vees (17-2-0-0) head back on the road for a Tuesday night clash against the Merritt Centennials (1-14-1-0) at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena. Puck drop from the Nicola Valley is slated for 7:00 PM with the game being broadcasted live on Bounce Radio 800 as well as streamed on BCHLTV.ca beginning with the pre-game show at 6:40 PM.
