Cassidy Bowes to raise money for children’s cancer research

Penticton, BC: The Penticton Vees are very proud to announce Cassidy Bowes has decided to grow out his hair and raise money for cancer research.

Bowes, from Grand Prairie, Alberta, hasn’t gotten a hair cut in over a year and won’t cut it again until he hits his goal.

Playing off his jersey number, the goal for the fundraiser is $9,292. There is no set date to reach the goal.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to accept donations, and when the goal has been reached, Bowes will cut his hair and donate the money to the Children’s Cancer Research Fund. His hair will also be donated to help make wigs for those going through cancer treatment.

A link to the GoFundMe will be pinned on the Vees Twitter account throughout the duration of the fundraising.
