The 2016-17 BCHL season is another step closer, as the Penticton Vees opened their Training Camp Monday at the SOEC. 50 players, which include the Anaheim Jr Ducks (’99 born), have been paired into two practice groups, with scrimmages scheduled in the afternoons.
Monday, it was Group 1 (White) thumping Group 2 (Blue) in the first of three scrimmages this week. The two groups go at it again tonight at 5 pm at the SOEC.
The Vees’ first taste of exhibition comes tomorrow, when they host the West Kelowna Warriors at 7 pm. Tickets are just $5 for adults and seniors, and students and children (18 and under) are free. This is the first time the two teams will meet since their Interior Division playoff series last spring.
