Coach's Message in regards to the Life Skills Membership Program:

Our goal is not just to make better hockey players, but to make our players better people. We do this by teaching them the life skills they need to succeed. --- Fred Harbinson

Penticton Vees Chaplaincy Program:

The Penticton Vee’s Chaplaincy Program, under the umbrella of Hockey Ministries International, believes that building a great hockey club starts with building great people and building great people begins from the inside out.  Helping young athletes make good choices and succeed in life is one of the benchmarks of this program.  HMI’s Chaplaincy Programs have proven to be valuable to many players over the years including the likes of Vancouver Canucks defenseman Dan Hamhuis: “I just know how important having chapels in the hockey world is with the busy schedules we have.  It’s made a huge difference in my life having those chapels all through my career.”

The Penticton Vee’s Chaplaincy program consists of voluntary bi-weekly chapels, mentoring, and counselling for all players, coaches and personnel.  Our team Chaplain, Reverend Jamie Weberg, is available during chapel times, for one on one appointments, and at team events and functions.  This resource is just one more tool the Penticton Vee’s Hockey Club is pleased to offer to its team.
