VEES COACHING STAFF 

 

Fred Harbinson: General Manager / Head Coach

Fred Harbinson is entering his fourth season as the Head Coach and General Manager of the Penticton Vees. In Harbinson’s first season in Penticton he led the Vees to the regular season Interior Division Pennant while posting the league’s best goals against average. Along with being named Head Coach of the Interior Division All-Star team, Harbinson was also named BCHL Coach of the Year. The season was capped off with the Vees leading the BCHL in NCAA scholarships while capturing its first Fred Page Cup BCHL Championship in 22 years.

 

David Small: Assistant Coach / Director of Hockey Operations

Dave, who played Junior hockey for the Notre Dame Hounds in the SJHL, has coached hockey schools all around the world, from Thailand, the Middle East, England, and the USA. Dave spent two years in Finland studying and researching all aspects of the game of hockey, and also did two projects with the International Ice Hockey Center of Excellence (IIHCE). He spent last season as an assistant coach with the Penticton Vees and will be returning for his fourth season with the Vees.
