Fred Page Cup Final Schedule Released

For the fifth time in 10 years, the Penticton Vees are in the BCHL Fred Page Cup Final, as they get set to face the Chilliwack Chiefs, starting Friday, April 14th, at Prospera Centre in Chilliwack.

The Vees advanced to the BCHL Final after beating the Vernon Vipers in seven games in the Interior Division Final; Penticton won the seventh and decisive game 3-1 on Monday night.

Chilliwack beat the Victoria Grizzlies in six games in the Coastal Division Final and they’re appearing in their second consecutive league final after losing to the West Kelowna Warriors last year. Overall, it’s the Chiefs eighth Fred Page Cup Final and they have won three championships, beating Powell River in 1995 and Vernon twice, in 2000 and 2002.

As a franchise, this marks the 18th Fred Page Cup Final appearance for Penticton, winning 11 times, including most recently in 2015 against the Nanaimo Clippers in six games. This is the fourth BCHL Final for the Vees in the last six years.
